What is Reiki?
Reiki is a system of healing. We have both a physical body and an energy body, and we are surrounded by a vital life force energy that flows through us and keeps us healthy. If this energy is blocked or depleted in any way, then our health and wellbeing suffers.
A Reiki practitioner is someone who has been taught to channel life force energy into the body so that it can flow well again.
Reiki is particularly good when we feel that nothing else is working and for allowing us to feel a deep sense of calm.
Reiki Federation definition of Reiki:
“Reiki is a natural healing energy activated by intention. It works on every level, not just the physical. The practice of Reiki is an original method of healing, developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th Century.”
Reiki is a completely safe and non-invasive treatment – there is no manipulation involved. You lie on a massage couch, you only need to remove your shoes, and Reiki will be channelled into you either hands-on or a few inches above your body in the energy field (your choice). Having a Reiki session feels very much like drifting off into a world of complete calm. It is deeply relaxing and restorative.
If you are unable to attend in person, Reiki can also be channelled remotely: Reiki is pure energy, and as such can be accessed across all time and space. You do not need to be present to receive a Reiki treatment and distant Reiki treatments are equally effective.
Distant Reiki healing via Zoom
To receive distant Reiki, it is important that you allow the time and space to be quiet and undisturbed as it can be quite a profound experience. Have some water ready for you to drink afterwards and ensure all your devices are switched off. I will contact you before and after the treatment as part of the booking with further instructions.

How Zoom Reiki sessions work:
Step one: Download Zoom on your computer, or the app on your phone. https://zoom.us/
Step two: Ensure you can see yourself and hear yourself on Zoom - you may need to adjust your settings.
Step three: When you book, you will automatically be sent a Zoom link and password. Make a note of the time and date of your session, as well as these Zoom details.
Step four: Prepare for the session by making sure you can lie or sit comfortably, away from distractions, and fully immerse yourself in the experience. Have a blanket ready and some water.
Step five: At the allotted time, or a few minutes before, click on the link and join the Zoom video session.
Step five: We will have a brief discussion about the session before we begin so that we can focus on specific healing or work through any issues.
Step six: Ensure you are fully comfortable and allow yourself to receive!
Step seven: We will stay connected via Zoom the entire time throughout the session, I will play music and talk you through relaxation at the beginning.
Step eight: At the end of the session, I will discuss with you what I have felt during the session and give you intuitive guidance on how to move forward.
Advantages of a distant healing.
Distant sessions are my favourite way to work. Because you are not present with me in the physical, I can go much, much deeper into a state of pure being where the Reiki can flow through me and to you with my conscious mind much less present. This means I allow a much greater amount of light and power to work through me to assist you. In addition, I am able to make notes as I work on you and talk you through all my intuitive information at the end of the session, helping you to continue to heal.
